I've had the watch for less than a week, and it worked perfectly for a few days then a whole load of functions just stopped working. Heart rate monitor, step counter, compass: all just completely unresponsive. I've made sure the software is up-to-date, done soft resets and a full master reset. Replacing the HRM‍-Dual Battery Use the included screwdriver (Torx T5) to remove the four screws on the back of the module. NOTE: HRM‍-Dual™ accessories produced before September 2020 use Phillips #00 screws. They should have just replaced HRM Pro. Just call it an HRM Pro 2. Like how all their other devices change every 2 years like Fenix 6 then Fenix 7 or 945 to 955. Should have just made this the HRM-pro 2 and dropped price on old model to $99. If you’re troubleshooting a stopped Garmin heart rate monitor, the first thing to do is check the batteries. Make sure they’re properly installed and that the contacts are clean. If the batteries are fine, then try resetting the monitor. If resetting the monitor doesn’t work, the next step is to check the chest strap. Two HRM Run were garbage after the second or third time, now the HRM Pro obviously. I mean the whole world is talking about lasting products, reduce garbage etc. and they built products that can be thrown away after less than 1.5 years. Because I don't see how the power saving timeout on the HRM-Pro being shorter than the testing period on a third party app is a bug. Garmin will have set the timeout to work with their ecosystem not Elite's. The fact that Polar would appear to be using a longer timeout which allows the Elite HRV Test to complete is Polar's choice. .
